Free ride status: Extension via Upload

In future, it will also be possible to renew your Free ride status digitally. You ONLY need to visit the Beep Assist Center at the ZOB if your status has never been registered before, or if your old severely disabled pass expired more than 90 days ago.

What do I need to bear in mind?

• You are currently registered with us with free travel status.
• Your severely disabled pass is valid for longer than the token.
• Your token has been reissued.

How to extend via upload:

1. Take a photo or scan of the front of both documents so that they are legible and can be recognized in their original color (black and white copies are not valid).
2. Select the appropriate category in our contact form.
3. Enter the required data for your account.
4. Upload the photos and submit your request.
5. After we receive your request, you will receive an automatic confirmation of receipt.
6. The extension will be entered within 48 hours / 2 working days (Mon - Fri).

Free ride status: requirements

We want to make Beep accessible for everyone. That's why we offer special transport conditions to people with a severely disabled ID, enabling them and/or their caretaker to use Beep free of charge. 

Technical requirements:

• A smartphone (compatible operating system)
• The Beep app (see download instructions)
• An active account
• A booked appointment via the app

Necessary documents for first verification:

• Valid identity card or passport
• Valid severely disabled person's pass (Schwerbehindertenausweis) - both sides
• Supplementary sheet if applicable
  

Free ride status: How do I make the appointment for the verification?

Option 1 - Book online: [Link to scheduler - update with Beep's booking link]

Option 2 - Via the Beep app:

1. In your Beep account, under "Settings", select "Accessibility".
2. There, you will find the option "Free transportation with a severely disabled person's pass".
3. You will access a step-by-step guide and the "Book appointment" button.
4. You will be redirected to a scheduler where you can select the best date and time.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:45 am - 4:45 pm
Lunch break: 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Attention: The entrance via Adenauerallee is temporarily closed. Please use the main entrance of "House B" at the bus terminals.

How to get there with Beep:

Enter "ZOB Adenauerallee" or "ZOB BUS-PORT Hamburg" as your destination in the Beep app.

Free ride status: Notes about your Beep ride

Once your status is activated in your Beep account, you must carry your documents with you on every Beep ride. Please show the document to our drivers when boarding. Otherwise, transportation may be denied.

The price reduction will take place during the booking process and will be displayed to you. If you are allowed to travel for free with a caretaker, you need to book for two persons.

You should have a stored payment method for the following situations:

• Tipping the driver
• Additional passengers you are travelling with
• When you book Beep Express, there is a small express fee to pay

Due to technical restrictions, it is not possible to ride with another person for free if they also have the free ride status in their Beep account. You each need to book your own Beep individually.

Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome on board.
