How Beep Works

How do I order a trip?
Booking a Beep couldn't be easier. Simply follow the steps below:
- Register with the Beep app by providing your details.
- When you are signed in, enter your collection point, destination, number of other passengers, or child seats.
- Click on "Get offer".
- The Beep Ridesharing App will give you up to six different offers, including price, pickup and arrival time.
- If you agree with the price, pick-up and arrival time of one of our offers, you can place a binding booking with your stored payment method by pressing the button at the bottom of the screen.
We consider many options when finding the right Beep for you. This means there may be a short wait between your request and your booking confirmation. Once your booking is confirmed, you will be automatically redirected to your trip overview.

How do I prebook a Beep?
You can find the prebooking option after selecting your pickup location, destination, and number of people. You will then reach a screen where you can specifically plan the pick-up or drop-off time for your prebooking. If there are still places available, you will be taken back to the screen where you can confirm your booking.
How can I book a Beep with a specific arrival time?
You can also specify a desired arrival time. Simply select "arrive by" in the prebooking screen and enter your desired arrival time.
Are there any restrictions for the prebooking feature?
Prebookings are possible up to 7 days in advance and no later than 20 minutes before the desired pickup time.
How will I be informed about my prebooked Beep?
After your booking is confirmed, you will receive a notification. You can find your upcoming prebooking under the "Pre-orders" button in the top right of the app.
Beep Express booking
If you need a faster ride but still want to use ridesharing with Beep, there's an additional booking option called Beep Express.
Our classic service remains unaffected by Beep Express. As an optional upgrade to your ride, it brings many benefits:
- You get to your destination quickly and more directly.
- Your arrival window is shorter.
- To ensure short walking distances, we always choose one of the closest stopping points.
- You can see your stops before you book.
If you add Beep Express, you pay a small extra fee. The exact price difference to regular trips can vary — it depends on the distance, the day and time of the week, and is influenced by supply and demand. The price is always displayed in the app before you confirm your booking.
Can I order more than one Beep?
Unfortunately not. If you need more than one Beep, you will need a second person with their own account who is signed in to the Beep app.
Can I take luggage with me in the vehicle?
You can bring along one piece of luggage and/or a suitcase, as long as you store it securely under the luggage net in the luggage compartment at the front next to the boarding gate.
It is not possible to bring along surfboards, bicycles, e-scooters, wallpapering tables or similar-sized items.
Can I share my Beep location?
Yes, it is possible! The feature does not require you to share your smartphone's location — it works exclusively via our app and website. The feature is automatically available with every trip. You are free to decide whether you want to use it.
- Simply book a ride with us.
- You will then be forwarded to the trip overview.
- At the bottom of the trip details, you will find the option to share the location of the Beep by tapping on "Share".
- You can then select your contacts and the corresponding channel (e.g. WhatsApp, SMS, or email). There is no limit‚ you can select as many people as you like.
Your contacts will receive a link to a webpage showing the live location of your Beep.
Trip overview
After booking you will be automatically forwarded to your trip overview. Here you have all the important information about your trip:
Current status of your Beep and pick-up time
The ETA is live-updated and tracks the position of your Beep at all times, recalculating the pick-up time every few seconds.
Your drop-off time
You can see the estimated arrival time and the arrival time window at your destination.
Walking time to your destination
A navigation button is available to guide you on foot from the drop-off stop to your final destination.
Live Activities (iOS)
On Apple devices, you can use the Live Activities function to keep track of your Beep even when your phone is locked.
After your trip, you will be prompted to leave feedback.
When will my Beep pick me up?

What happens in case of delays on my trip?
You will be informed about possible delays at any time in your trip overview.
Before starting the journey
The ETA (estimated time of arrival) is live-updated. If the vehicle arrives later than expected, the pickup time in your trip overview will be updated. We may pick you up a few minutes later than expected, but will still be able to get you to your destination within the promised time window.
During the journey
If your drop-off time changes during the journey, the arrival time will be shown in red in your trip overview to indicate a delay.
Why is my Beep taking a detour?
Your Beep was navigated on a route through the city calculated by our algorithm. It can happen that your Beep takes detours, but these do not lead to delays! The routing is based on the offered time slot from your trip overview.
In addition, there are several "residents only" areas, road works, cancelled trips, and other factors we need to consider when routing. Traffic jams can also cause your Beep to deviate from the most direct route.
So as long as you arrive within the time slot offered, your trip will have gone as planned.
