Altamonte Springs, Fla.
CraneRIDES
The electric, shared and autonomous CraneRIDES shuttle network will provide residents and visitors first- and last-mile connectivity from the city’s main retail hub to the region's commuter rail.

Beep and Altamonte Springs have partnered to deliver a first-of-its-kind phased autonomous shuttle pilot to explore alternative transit modes and offer solutions for the changing economic and urban landscape.
The Florida Department of Transportation partnered with Altamonte Springs to fund the project so the City can serve as a testbed for the AV shuttle project and provide data on implementing the technology in other municipalities. The pilot provides convenient and sustainable transport options to connect people to major activity centers.
CraneRIDES
Now in Phase 2, the CraneRIDES autonomous shuttle service has expanded to connect key business and employment centers in Altamonte Springs, including direct access to the AdventHealth Altamonte Springs campus. This phase provides thousands of hospital staff, patients and visitors with convenient transportation to nearby businesses, services and recreational areas—enhancing both mobility and access across the city.
Future phases will extend the route to the Altamonte Springs SunRail station, ultimately linking more than 2 million square feet of economic development and over 3,000 residential and hotel units that are either existing or planned. This connection will provide a seamless transition between local and regional transit, supporting a multimodal transportation network that reduces reliance on personal vehicles.
